Job Summary

The Human Capital Generalist is responsible for performing Human Capital related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Human Capital Director. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities:

  • Development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and high performance
  • Policy development and documentation.
  • Employee relations.
  • Manage minor disputes and conducting training sessions for the employees.
  • Stand as a strong link between the employees and the organization.
  • Implement disciplinary rules in the company and explain company policies to the employees.
  • Originate and lead Human Capital practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment.
  • Lead employee investigations and make recommendations regarding options, outcomes and potential liability.
  • Review and guide management recommendations for employment terminations.
  • Ensure company compliance with all existing governmental, labor legal and government reporting requirements, including any related to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) working with Professional Employment Organization.
  • Provides a five-star customer service always by attending to all calls and messages immediately
  • Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process. Maintains and distributes list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan. Verifies benefit billing accuracy and processes for payment.
  • Reports, maintains and monitors all workers’ compensation case files; follows-up on open cases.
  • Running payroll, calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
  • Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
