Amado grew up in Harlingen, Texas and is a die-hard Cowboys fan. Prior to joining the Lighthouse Sales Team, he completed the company’s Career Development Program (CDP). This exclusive, 16-month rotational program, allows recent risk management and select business graduates the opportunity to explore a variety of departments within insurance and learn the ins-and-outs of a responsibly growing Southeast residential/commercial insurance carrier and MGA. Amado’s time throughout Lighthouse’s CDP, coupled with his prior agency experience at Allstate and Liberty Mutual, has proven fruitful in his role as sales representative in Texas.

Amado holds dual licenses in Property & Casualty and Life & Health, as well as his Associate in Risk Management (ARM™). Amado is also a licensed Adjuster and a proud member of the Insurance Council of Texas.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley, and his associates in Business Management from Texas State Technical College. Outside of work, Amado enjoys spending time with family, watching sports, and going fishing.
